Blindmen

The young man has no evil in his eyes

Neither has the old one

The old man has tears in his eyes

So has the young one

They both wish they were born blind

As they wouldn't even remember the light

How about catching a buzzing bee ?

Or maybe they'd rather capture a smooth butterfly ?

They know tiny animals are a cure for depression

They know elegant nurses are drifting along their minds

They know real lovers cannot meet insane killers

They know that ages ago the Earth was flat

They know starving brokenhearts can puke their pain

They know enlightened beings have no weight at all

They know you can't always get what you want

They know you never know what you're in for

They know, they know so much...

As much as their bleeding eyes can tell

You can tell from these eyes

They still remember the transparent vision

They were enlightened with

When they were blind...
